Dear AKCP Team,

Our SP2+ AKCP base unit is disconnected from our CloudAPS and we can’t seem to get it re-connected.

Can you please help us fix this?

Hello AKCP Customer,

We first advised you to upgrade the units firmware to the latest on our website support portal. We thought at first this was a networking issue.

However, as we continued troubleshooting this, we found the problem was with the DNS server settings in the SP2+ network settings. Settings >> Network

CloudAPS needs a working DNS name resolution to work properly, as the device requires DNS to resolve the apscloud.akcp.com server address, and if your company is on another server, the first server will auto-redirect you to it.

The default 1.1.1.1 setting was not working, but it connected up properly when we had you change this to 8.8.8.8.
When you changed this back to 1.1.1.1 it disconnected again, so it’s confirmed it was the DNS setting.
