Hello AKCP Team,

I would like to know how many total “Actions” can I create on my SPX+ unit?

Also, There is a project we have been working on for a long time. The number of Notification Rules could be over the maximum on the units.

We will only need to write Notification Rules for 45 Virtual Sensors with Modbus RS485 and 15 sensors including dry contacts on SPX+. So, we are very concerned about exceeding the maximum Notification rules allowed on the unit. Can you help on this too?

Thank you,
AKCP Customer

Dear AKCP Customer,

The total number of the notification actions and notification rules on the SP+ (SPX+, SP2+ and powerProbeX+) H7 type devices is 50.

The limit on notification rules is determined by the number of rules created, which utilize our sensors and notification grouping mechanism. It is not restricted by the number of selected sensors for each rule.

For example, if you create a notification rule using both Email and Modbus Write, and select 10 Virtual Sensors, this will only count as 1 slot in the notification rule limit.

In general, for SPX+ use cases that involve a mix of sensor types and notification actions, it is quite rare to reach the maximum limit, and we have not encountered this situation yet. Therefore, you do not need to be concerned about exceeding the limit.

For more specific details and the steps for creating the notification actions, rules wizards and linking these to sensors, please check our website support portal here;

There you can then download the SP+ “Notifications” manuals for each unit. You can also download the latest versions of the SP+ firmware’s as well.

Please Note: When needing more details regarding the Notifications on the SP1+ & powerProbeX+ devices, please refer to the SPX+ or SP2+ Notification manuals as they both are applicable to the SP1+ & PPX+ devices.

Please also do not hesitate to contact your local dealer, or our support team directly for more assistance.

Kind regards,
