Hello,
I have two SP2+ controllers on my network. One has a motion sensor input and the other has a Siren Strobe output. I have successfully completed initial setup on all devices. IP addressing… etc. Getting the strobe to sound when there is motion is pretty straight forward when they are both plugged into the same SP2+ controller. I can’t figure out how to get the controllers to pass info to each other. Do I need to setup MODBUS between the two and create Actions based on logic? I couldn’t find this specific setup in any of the documentation.
Thank you,
Brandon

Dear AKCP Customer,
Thanks for your question. You can easily setup each of the two units to poll the others sensors current status, readings etc., using the SNMP get virtual sensors feature. You would fist need to obtain the sensor OID’s from each unit in order to setup each of the SNMP get virtual sensors. This done by using the “Get SNMP OID” button in the unit web interface for each sensor.
These details are covered in the SP2+ Notifications manual beginning on page #55. This manual can be downloaded from our website support portal here;
