Hello AKCP,

I see in your price sheet that the 3PS-APS are individual virtual sensors on the APS (AKCess Pro Server) software and the TMPT-APS-25 are template virtual sensors.

Can you please explain what the different is between the two?

Thanks!

Hello AKCP Customer,

Thank you for your question on the APS virtual sensor (VS) licenses.

With a template (TMPT-APS-25) you get 25 virtual sensors on one IP address that can be configured via an editable JSON file. The 3PS-APS are individual virtual sensors and you can have 25 different IP addresses.

The template VS’s makes it easy if you have multiple devices of the same type, for example an intelligent PDU. Maybe you have 50 of them, you can make the template for one device and upload it 50x for 50 different IP addresses. You only need to change the IP address on each one and upload the JSON file.

This saves time compared to configuring 10 x 25 virtual sensors individually with the 3PS-APS.

If you need more specific details regarding the APS licenses, please check this forum by searching on “APS Licenses Explained.” This post also includes the details if you require the virtual sensors on your SP+ base units to be supported on the APS software.

If you do require a quotation, please contact your local dealer, or our sales team directly (sales@akcp.com).

Best regards,

AKCP Support Team
