Hello AKCP,
We have a question to below on the log reports. We have configured email notifications on our SPX+ unit, both for a 2 hourly heartbeat email and an alert notification. We have also setup the AKCP cloud sever. Both works ok and the cloud server is picking from the local server.
The email works also ok. What we can see however, every time an email is sent out the log shows an error to the cloud server like the SPX+ stops connection to the AKCP cloud during the process of sending the email? The network error is however not true. It only comes within the few seconds when the email sending process is active we can see from the time stamp sequences.
What is the reason for this? We have setup the email process correctly and the emails are being sent correctly and received well. It looks like the SPX+ to cloud connection is interrupted during the email sending process and then reconnects?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dear AKCP Customer,
Thank you kindly for your question on this issue.
It’s normal for you to experience this when you configure your Email SMTP settings with encryption (using SSL/TLS or STARTTLS). The Email and CloudAPS features share resources for the encrypted connection.
When the SP+ (SPX+/SP2+) connects to the CloudAPS through an encrypted channel and needs to send an encrypted email, it temporarily pauses the CloudAPS connection for a few seconds before resuming. This is what you have observed in the system event logs.
We can assure you that this is a normal functioning condition of the system.
If you do have any further questions on this, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team. Please do keep in mind that we do not provide 24/7 support, however we normally will always get back to you within 24 hours.
Best regards,
AKCP Support Team
