Dear AKCP Support,

 

Regarding alarm notifications that are sent to email and SMS, is it possible to set the period of sending the email or SMS? I mean, for example is it possible to send the alarm every 30 minutes or maybe every hour — as long as the condition remains in “High Warning” or “High Critical” status, until it returns to “Normal.”

Is it possible to configure this period in AKCPro Server?

Dear AKCP Customer,

Thank you for your question on this.

We don’t have forever repeated notifications until the problem is resolved. However, you can use the “Notification Escalation” feature to achieve similar behavior.

Please see our setup example below. When the status changes to critical, it will send 1 Email. Then send an Email every minute for 10 minutes, until the status is changed or acknowledged from the summary page. When the status changes to normal, it will send 1 Email.

You can also apply the escalation feature to the SMS alerts as well.
