AKCP Sensor Controlled Relays to turn on and off at specific times - AKCP Remote Sensor Monitoring

Dear AKCP,

We have your SP+ units, can you please help us on how we can configure 2x sensor controlled relays to turn on and off at specific times? And also how to setup a notification that will turn it on if the temperature goes high?

For example, if nothing happens the relay turns off at specific time, if the temperature goes high it turns on before that time. Can you please include an example of this for us?

Hello AKCP Customer,

Thank you for your question on this. We do appreciate these types of questions from you and our end customers.

We will provide an example on how to automatically control air conditioning units, one main AC unit using relay #1 and a backup AC unit using relay #2 below as follows.

Here are the steps on how you can configure the AC relay #1 for the Main Aircon, and AC relay #2 for the Backup Aircon.

A. Steps on configuring the AC relay on port #1: for the Main Aircon
Step 1. Go to sensor page, click relay port 1
Step 2. Enable relay sensor calendar feature, and select calendar #1
Step 3. Edit the Calendar #1
Step 4. Unselect the day and time that the relay will be turned OFF
Step 5. Retain the 8am to 9pm schedule, then click save.

B. Steps on configuring the AC relay on port #2: for the Backup Aircon
Step 1. Create a relay action with the settings : Turn On Until Sensor Normal, then select the relay port 2.
Step 2. Create a notification rule for the relay on port 2: choose “Temperature sensor” to trigger the notification with “High Warning” status, then select the created action on step 1.
Step 3. Set the Temperature sensor high warning threshold to 28°C (note: you can set it based on the temperature you want to turn On the AC relay 2).
Step 4. Set the Temperature sensor rearm to : 4 (note: the relay port 2 will turn off when it reaches 24°C, you can adjust the rearm value based on the temperature you want to turn OFF the AC relay 2
