Dear Valued Dealers & Customers,
AKCP has released the IPSet utility for Android devices. Below is the direct download link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.akcp.ipset

AKCP IPSet is a commissioning tool for AKCP network sensor gateways and monitoring hardware. It replaces the Windows IPSet utility for technicians who install and service AKCP equipment on site.
When you press the reset button on an AKCP device, the device opens a short setup window and announces itself on the local network. AKCP IPSet listens for those announcements, lists every device it hears, and lets you review or change the device’s IPv4 network settings without a laptop.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
– Discover AKCP devices announcing themselves on your Wi-Fi network
– See each device’s IP address, MAC address, DHCP or static mode, netmask, gateway, primary DNS, model, firmware version and hardware ID
– Assign a static IP address, netmask, gateway and primary DNS
– Switch a device to DHCP
– Open the selected device’s built-in web interface in your browser
– Follow every step in a status console that mirrors the Windows IPSet output
– Copy device details or the full console log to the clipboard
HOW IT WORKS
1. Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the AKCP device.
2. Press the reset button on the device once to open its IPSet window.
3. Open AKCP IPSet. Listening starts automatically.
4. Select the device from the list.
5. Edit its network settings and tap Apply Config, or open its web interface.
REQUIREMENTS
– Your phone must be connected to Wi-Fi. Mobile data alone will not work.
– The phone and the AKCP device must be on the same local network segment, because discovery uses local network broadcast.
– Changing network settings requires device firmware that reports IPSet configuration support (STMProbe_refactored version 50 / 1.0.50 or later). Older firmware can still be discovered and its web interface opened, but its network settings cannot be changed from this app.
PRIVACY
AKCP IPSet does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. All communication stays on your local network between the phone and AKCP hardware. The app requires no runtime permissions.
This app is intended for AKCP customers and installers. It has no function without AKCP hardware on the same network.
Windows IPset
You can still use our other Windows version of the IPSet on your laptop or PC, which you can download from the link below.

If you are having connection problems to your SP+ unit, please follow the steps below.
Start the IPSET utility. Press the “reset” button on the sensorProbe+ unit once. The Windows IPset will detect the unit’s IP address and allow you to open the unit’s web interface and set your IP address.
If you have any further issues with connecting to your unit, please check the sensorProbe+ connection troubleshooting steps below & in the SP+ manuals, or contact our support team for more assistance.
Make sure you can ping the unit’s default IP address.
Make sure your laptop, PC, or network-fixed IP is configured for the default network subnet as the unit (192.168.0.1 for example). And that the IPv4 is checked/enabled on your PC.
Check the Ethernet link LED on the unit and the PC. Check the patch cable (direct connect = crossover. Connect to switch = straight-through).
Try temporarily disabling your Antivirus & Firewall.
Again, please contact our support team directly at support@akcp.com if you have any further questions or issues, and we will be happy to help.
Best regards,
AKCP Support Team
