Hello,

I have been using various versions of an app written using Delphi with Indy routines being used to retrieve data from SensorProbes. However I have found that when trying the same code accessing various SP2+ devices, but with the appropriate OIDs, the app returns ‘except’ rather than the data. If I change the app to access a SensorProbe it works as it should.

I was wondering if anyone else had had a similar issue or if there is anything different with an SP2+ device. that I should be aware of.  I have checked the OIDs being sent using a MIB browser and an SNMP tester. All works as it should, but not when using the app.

(The app is written using the latest version of Delphi by Embarcadero with the latest patch.)

Any advice or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

John Docherty

Hello John,

Thanks very much for your questions on the integration of your third party NMS Delphi. We are not familiar, nor use this app so we would suggest you first check our OID manual which explains in detail the differences in the OID’s of our older sensorProbe units & our SP+ devices.

The MIB contains separate OID tree’s, or sub sections for the two units. Again, please access our website support portal using the link below, then download our OID manual and the latest MIB file shown highlighted below.

You can also search on this very forum for detailed Q & A’s specifically related to third party NMS integration by using its search function.

We hope this helps and if you do have any further questions or issues on this please contact our support team directly (support@akcp.com) and we will be more than happy to assist you further.

Best regards,
