Hello AKCP Support,

I am planning on using a VM for the APS software. Is this possible? I believe in most cases the VM’s MAC address changes when it is rebooted.

My question is, if my MAC address changes will the license still work?

Regards,

Dear AKCP Customer,

Thank you for your questions.

Yes, you can install the APS software on a VM, however you need to ensure the MAC address is fixed or static and does not change, or the license will no longer work.

There is a setting in the VM that you need to update so that the MAC address does not change when the APS license was activated.

Please also see the post regarding how to relocate a current APS installation from one VM to another in our forum here.

We hope this helps.

Kind regards,
