Hello AKCP Team,
We have several customers who are using your AKCPro Server (APS) DCIM software and are very happy with it. However, some of these customers are expanding rapidly and are interested in upgrading to your more advanced Quicklime DCIM software.
Our question is: do the Quicklime licenses work in the same way as the APS licenses?
Thank you,

Dear Valued AKCP Dealer,
Thank you for your question.
We have made significant improvements to the Quicklime DCIM licensing system based on the lessons learned from the APS licensing process.
For example, the Quicklime software license is no longer tied to the computer’s network interface card (NIC) or the LAN adapter’s MAC address. This provides a much smoother licensing process, saves time, and eliminates activation issues caused by incorrect or changing MAC addresses.
Quicklime licenses are perpetual and do not expire. This makes license management much simpler. For example, if you purchase a license for 1,000 sensors today and later expand by another 500 sensors, you won’t have to worry about different license expiration dates. The additional 500 sensors can simply be added to your existing license through the AKCP sales team.
The only time-based license is the optional Quicklime Annual Maintenance (AM) subscription. Without an active maintenance subscription, your software will continue to operate normally, but you will not be able to upgrade to newer software versions or receive technical support.
If your Annual Maintenance expires, you can renew it at any time. Once renewed, we will extend your maintenance period and provide you with an updated license code.
To help prevent maintenance from expiring unexpectedly, Quicklime includes built-in notifications that warn users before the maintenance period ends. In addition, we have implemented an internal alert system that notifies our team of upcoming maintenance expirations, allowing us to proactively contact you before renewal is due.
We hope this answers your question. If you have any additional questions about Quicklime DCIM, including installation, configuration, or setup, please visit our support forum and blog using the link below, where you can search for “Quicklime” to find helpful articles and videos:
