Dear AKCP Support,

We have new SPX+ unit, we are unable to connect it to network or to computer for configuration.

REV_I H7

We tried many things but still unable to connect it, we tried factory defaults reset but it is the same.

It does not respond to ping command: “Destination host unreachable”
We tried connecting from other computers with same issue.

Pls advise if there is anything else we can do to test.

Dear AKCP Customer,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your connection issue. Normally the default IP address of the new SP+ units is 192.168.0.100.

Please try using the IPSET utility which you can download from this link here to connect to the units web UI;

Start the IPSET utility. Press the “reset” button on the sensorProbe+ unit once. IPSET will detect the units IP address and allow you to open the units web interface and set your IP address.

If you have any further issues with connecting to your unit, please check the sensorProbe+ connection troubleshooting steps below & in the SP+ manuals.

Make sure you can ping the units default IP address (you already tried).

Connect the unit directly to your laptop or PC using a known good RJ-45 cable.
Make sure your laptop or PC has a fixed IP and is configured for the default network subnet as the unit (192.168.0.1 for example). And that the IPv4 is checked/enabled on your laptop/PC.
Check the Ethernet link LED on the unit and the laptop/PC. Check the patch cable (Direct connect = crossover. Connect to switch = straight through).
Try temporarily disabling your Antivirus & Firewall.
