Hello AKCP Team,

We had the following question asked from one of our large customers that use your AKCP units & sensors.  How do companies with large data centers measure and manage energy efficiency?

Thank you in advance,

Dear valued AKCP dealer,

Thank you for the question. The standard metric is PUE, total facility power over IT load, and the companies that manage it well track it continuously instead of once a quarter. Beyond the headline number, it comes down to catching where power and heat actually go, per rack inlet and outlet temperatures, power down to the outlet level, hot spots before they force the cooling to overwork. Continuous monitoring turns PUE from a report into something you can actually act on.

For continuous PUE monitoring, you can use AKCP tools like the sensorCFD feature in our Quicklime DCIM to mix PUE monitoring with airflow efficiency analysis. Improving your airflow, fully utilizing your cooling capacity will help reduce your PUE and improve your energy efficiency.
