Hello, I have sensors measuring and trending among other things generator current and solar voltage.
For generator current I only want to know when the generators ran yet it always is in a Low critical alarm is zero amps when the generator is not running yet this is a “Normal” condition. Actually the generator running is a normal activity when there is a demand to charge batteries and generator idle is also normal when there is no demand. I just want to trend the current but the alarms are skewing the overall status
With the Solar Panel voltage a Low Critical alarm is triggered every night when the voltage is zero volts yest this also is a normal condition for night. Again I just want to trend the volts and the solar panels producing voltage or not are both normal in night and day. I just want to trend the voltages.

Thank you for posting on the forum.
Understandably, you want to use these sensors strictly for trending without skewing your overall alarm status when the generator is idle or the sun goes down.
Because the securityProbe uses threshold brackets to determine the sensor’s status, a reading of 0 Amps or 0 Volts is currently dropping into your default Low Critical bracket.
To fix this so that 0 is treated as a Normal status, you will need to reconfigure the sensor thresholds so that all expected readings stay inside the green Normal range.
Here are the steps to do this:
Log into your securityProbe web interface and navigate to the sensor setting page for your Generator Current sensor.
Modify the Min, Low Critical, and Low Warning to the exact same value at the minimum end of your scale (for example, -999).
Modify the High Warning, High Critical, and Max to the exact same value at the maximum end of your scale (for example, 999).
Click Save.
Repeat these exact same steps for your Solar Panel Voltage sensor.
Once these thresholds are expanded, the securityProbe will continue to record and graph the fluctuating current and voltage for your trends, but the sensors will permanently remain in a Normal state when hitting zero.
